Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Sept 1-7)


We all now that eating disorders and a negative body image are common problems experienced by many males and females across Australia.

Unfortunately, sufferers often keep their condition closely guarded from others. Body Image and Eating Disorder week aims to raise awareness of these health threatening conditions by educating the public and encouraging everyone to take the opportunity to appropriately nourish and celebrate their bodies.

This year, the theme is Love Your Body and they are encouraging all Australians to take a pledge to making a commitment to learning how to love their bodies. My personal commitment is to say one positive comment to myself about my body every day. What is yours?
