Makes one smoothie
Adding frozen banana to any smoothie will make it nice and thick, while adding sweetness. They also pack a nutritious punch. Bananas are extremely high in vitamin B6, vitamin C, potassium, low GI, and are salt-free, making them a healthy addition to any smoothie.
- 330ml 100% organic coconut water (choose one with no preservatives, colouring or additives)
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smoothie. Serve in a glass jar with extra raspberries sprinkled on top.
Ensure you peel the banana before freezing it – If you don’t, you will be unable to remove the skin once frozen (I know from experience!!!). I freeze my peeled bananas whole, wrapped in tin foil. Alternatively you can chop into pieces and freeze in a container for later use. Enjoy x
